Jethro Tull sind eine Progressive-Rock-Band aus Großbritannien. Bandleader und Gründungsmitglied ist der Sänger,Komponist und Multi-Instrumentalist Ian Anderson (Gesang, Querflöte, Saxophon, Tin Whistle, Mundharmonika, akustische Gitarre, Mandoline u.a.).
Die Band wird gebildet von David Goodier (Bass), John O´Hara (Keyboards), Joe Parrish (Gitarre), Scott Hammond (Schlagzeug) sowie Bandleader Ian Anderson, ist die einzige international erfolgreiche Rockband, in deren Musik die Querflöte eine tragende Rolle einnimmt.
